What converts well

PDFs that were exported from PowerPoint or Keynote convert most cleanly, because the layout maps naturally back onto slides. Text that was real text in the PDF becomes editable text on the slide; pages that are essentially images come across as images you can still move and resize. Very intricate animations and transitions can't be recovered — those live only in the original file — but the static content of every slide is faithfully rebuilt.
